America is the center of conspiracy and the No. 1 enemy of the Islamic Republic, Iranian supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has declared.
According to Fars News Agency, an outlet run by the Revolutionary Guards, Khamenei criticized the West, stating that international sanctions will have no effect on the Islamic regime’s path and that the only solution to the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program is for the West accept the country’s right to uranium enrichment.
Khamenei made the comments in a speech marking the first day of the Iranian New Year, March 21.
“The center of all conspiracies against the Iranian nation is America, and today after 34 years, whenever there is a statement of enemy, all thoughts of the nation focus on America,” the supreme leader said. “Besides America, which is the No. 1 enemy and the center of all conspiracies, there are other enemies too, like the filthy government of England, which has no independence and as a follower plays a completing role to America.”
Khamenei said the Islamic Republic has no issues with France, but since the administration of former French President Nicholas Sarkozy, France has chosen a visible policy of enmity toward Iran and this mistaken policy continues to this day, which he called unwise.
Warning Israel, Khamenei said, “The Zionist regime is not on the level to be counted as an enemy to Iran,” meaning the Jewish state is not to be considered a real country. Pointing to threats by Israeli officials, he added, “If they make the slightest mistake, the Islamic Republic of Iran will level Tel Aviv and Haifa.”
Khamenei admitted that Iran supported the terrorist organization Hamas and others in the recent war in the Gaza Strip. “The powerful presence of Iran behind the scenes of the eight-day war of Gaza and the kneeling of the Zionist regime to the Palestinian fighters … showed the region’s problems cannot be solved without the presence of Iran.”
The chairman of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, said two days after Khamenei’s speech that Israel will cease to exist should it attack Iran.
Boroujerdi blamed England for what he called “the formation of Israel on parts of the Muslim territories” and asked, “How can the Zionist regime face a strong state like the Islamic Republic of Iran while it cannot defeat guerrilla groups and politico-military groups like Lebanon’s Hezbollah or (Palestinian) Islamic Jihad and Hamas?”
In an exclusive WND report on Dec. 4, sources revealed that the regime has 170 ballistic missiles alone pre-targeted on Tel Aviv, some armed with biological warheads, and is prepared to destroy Israel.
As reported in the Washington Times in August, a commentary in Mashregh, the media outlet of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, confirmed that the Islamic regime not only has weapons of mass destruction but has armed its terrorist proxies with them, including Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad. The commentary warned Israel that if the fighting in Syria does not stop, an all-out attack on the Jewish state will be launched and that at zero hour, Tel Aviv will be the first city to be destroyed. This information has now been confirmed by U.S. officials.
Last year Alireza Forghani, a strategy specialist in the camp of Iran’s supreme leader, Khamenei, boasted that Israel, which he claims was invaded over 50 years ago by the “pig-faced” Jews, will soon become a mass “graveyard” for the Israeli people. He stated then that every city in Israel will turn into a killing ground and the longsuffering of Muslims worldwide “will be justified by the mighty Islamic Iran.” No one then will listen to the cries of the women and children of Israel, the author warned, when Jerusalem becomes “the biggest graveyard in the world.”
Forghani has also previously penned articles that laid out the legal and religious justification for the destruction of Israel and the slaughter of its people, as well as the right of Islamic Iran to obtain the nuclear bomb.
The recent revelation by WND of the new secret nuclear site “Quds” in Iran, where the regime is working on the final stages of a nuclear warhead and where hundreds of ballistic missiles are ready for launch not only at Israel but all U.S. bases in the region as well as some European capitals, has raised the concern of several experts who reviewed the imagery of the vast secret site.
“Reza Kahlili (who wrote the article revealing the Quds site) has provided the West with one of the most critical pieces of evidence of the Iranian government’s drive to break out its nuclear development into a fully operational capability,” said Maj. Gen. Thomas G. McInerney (Ret.). “All the red lines have been crossed. Beware America, Israel and the West, a nuclear Iran is here!” McInerney for 35 years served as a pilot, commander and strategic planner in the U.S. Air Force.
“This imagery strongly suggests that Iran is working on what we used to call an ‘objective force,’ … that Iran is working the problem of becoming a nuclear weapons power in a serious way, not just playing around for a few nukes on the shelf,” said Fritz Ermarth, who served in the CIA and as chairman of the National Intelligence Council.
“The location of the site amid an Iranian missile armory, protected by a vast array of defensive and offensive missiles, is consistent with the (human intelligence) reporting that the site is for the final stages of nuclear weapons development and that the complex appears to be the most heavily protected site in Iran,” said Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security, an expert on nuclear strategy and weapons who served on several strategic congressional commissions and in the CIA.
“(The satellite images) suggest the possibility that Iran may in fact be further along in its nuclear weapons program than is generally assumed,” said David Trachtenberg, who has 30 years of experience in the national security policy field and who served as a deputy assistant secretary of defense. “It is clear they have gone to great lengths to bury and protect high-value assets at this site, which also complicates the possibility of direct military action and illustrates the risks of allowing years to pass while hoping diplomacy will work.”
