(National Post) If there is a time for unloading guilt, it is the time ahead of Easter when the world’s Christians remember Jesus dying on the cross for their sins. What better way to meet the need for penitence than to keep the confession booth in high rotation all day? For the first time, the Archdiocese of Toronto and the Archdiocese of Edmonton are inviting sinners to confess during extended church hours on Wednesday, March 6, with many open 12 hours.

How can a priest last that long? The Post’s Sarah Boesveld asked Father Jim Corrigan of St. Theresa’s Parish, one of the largest and most diverse in Edmonton.
