I don’t have a problem with drones being used to kill terrorists. If those terrorists happen to be American citizens who have decided join foreign powers to engage in acts of war or terror against the United States military, they have forfeited their citizenship and rights, as far as I’m concerned. Enemies are constantly killed in warfare. An American jihadist is a domestic enemy just as much as a non-citizen would be. If police can shoot and kill a criminal or a homeowner can kill a home invader, why not kill a terrorist, regardless of his citizenship? Would those opposed to killing American jihadists approve of killing British or German or Russian or French jihadists? What’s the difference?
