(MCALL) — A Parkland High School student had a Taser in school last week, but the weapon was confiscated and no one was injured, according to the Parkland School District.
The district, in a message emailed to parents Sunday morning, said the student had the weapon at school on Monday, March 18.
“There was no incident on campus and nobody was hurt,” the message said.
The school district’s investigation revealed that the student received the weapon earlier in the morning from another student. Both students are now facing disciplinary action for violating the district’s weapons policy and the school district has referred the case to South Whitehall Township police.
