Look who’s printing money now!

Economist, columnist, radio host and international conference speaker Jerry Robinson on his “Follow the Money Weekly” program this week discusses plans by the Bank of Japan to print huge amounts of money.

The U.S., of course, has been printing money wildly since Barack Obama assumed the role of president. Currently, the Federal Reserve is injecting an estimated $80 billion a month into the economy.

Now Robinson discusses the historic amount of money printing announced by the Bank of Japan this week.

That institution now has promised to unleash the largest amount of monetary stimulus in history. In his first official policy meeting, the new governor of the BOJ, Haruhiko Kuroda, announced a doubling of Japan’s monetary base by the end of 2014.

Robinson reports the new policy moves will require the Bank of Japan to purchase approximately 70 percent of all long-term government bonds issued by the Japanese government every single month.

But what does it mean in the U.S?

Robinson explains.

Also on the program, Robinson interviews Big Brother Watch chief Nick Pickles. The topic of the discussion is Google’s latest: Google Glass, a head-mounted wearable computer that can record video, take pictures and even broadcast images and videos in real-time to the rest of the world.

Also on the program is an update on precious metals, an analysis of the war on poverty and why a will is a priority, among other topics.

Podcast is 44:56.
