Why don't religious people keep it to themselves?

“You think as soon as I was conceived I was deserving of being tortured in a lake of fire for eternity because a woman who was made out of a rib of a man who was made out of mud ate a forbidden magical fruit that a talking snake tricked her into eating?” – Ken Scherer
Instead you believe that you are a talking primate – a cousin of bananas (see below), who is made from dust, and you’re the product of a large bang of hot rock that magically produced life from non-life (a scientific impossibility), and ended up spinning through space on a planet that was made by nothing for no reason.
In “The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution,” Richard Dawkins wrote, “It is a plain truth that we are cousins of chimpanzees, somewhat more distant cousins of monkeys, more distant cousins still of aardvarks and manatees, yet more distant cousins of bananas and turnips.”
“I do not fear death, in view of the fact that I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it. None of us are eternal. Make most of the here and now, or throw away the joys this world offers in this fleeting time we have in existence for the false promise of eternal bliss.” – Morris Feitlebaum
Morris, why did you say “billion and billions”? Why not “trillions and trillions”? I will tell you why. It’s because what you really meant was that you were “eternally” dead, but you dare not use the word “eternal” because it has connotations of You Know Who.
“We’ll leave you alone as soon as you realize not everyone shares the same beliefs and keep your beliefs in your home and churches where they belong. … None of us have the right to impose our beliefs on each other. The human race will be in a much better place when religious people learn this.” – Aaron Petersen
I would like to say that you should to keep your beliefs about where we keep our beliefs to yourself, where they belong. But I won’t, because we respect you enough to let you onto a Christian Facebook page, to impose on us what you believe.
And by the way, we won’t be keeping the gospel to ourselves, our homes or our churches. We are going to use every medium possible to shout the message of everlasting life from the housetops. We’re coming at you, Aaron, to tell you that eternal life is the free gift of God – and that no one needs to end up in hell … including you. We deeply care about you and where you spend eternity, even if you don’t.
