Ditching Christian ignorance

I agree with Matt Barber [“NBA’s Jason Collins: ‘Gay’ superhero!”]. Being gay is not a big deal; it is a normal part of human existence and deserves no special praise. Christians who believe the silly parts of the Bible, like the umpteen abominations for everything from pride, to shellfish eating, to mixing fabrics, to sex during menstruation, will finally grow up like Matt and recognize it is no more scary than being left-handed or using a mirror (both sins a few hundred years ago due to Christian ignorance). I applaud Matt’s progressive stance that being gay is not that notable, just a normal variation.
