Have I flipped my lid?

Maybe you're one of those folks wondering if I've become some kind of a religious zealot – with all my campaigns promoting the No. 1 faith movie for 2012 and 2013, erecting Ten Commandments billboards all over the United States and now calling for a 9/11/13 National Day of Prayer and Fasting.
I admit a journalist and media entrepreneur is not the most likely candidate to be promoting spiritual revival.
Here's the story in a nutshell.
Our country is facing serious crises everywhere you look – economic, cultural, educational, in health care and in a rapid moral breakdown the likes of which America has never seen before, and I say that having lived through the 1960s.
Let's face it. These problems are not going to be fixed by government. Government is broken. And, as Ronald Reagan said, "Government is not the solution. Government is the problem."
These problems are not going to be fixed through politics. Politics in America is broken, too.
They are not going to be fixed by the cultural institutions – like the media, Hollywood, academia, science, foundations. They, too, are broken.
In fact, all of these institutions have become judgments on a country that has lost its moral bearings, its sense of right and wrong, its concern for truth and real justice.
I've come to the conclusion there is only one thing that can save America from disaster – and that is a return by believers to the Creator God of the universe.
Don't get me wrong. I've been involved in politics since 1968. I'm not telling anyone to stop working for a better country through politics and volunteer work and charitable endeavors. All of that is important. But without factoring God into the equation, all our work is for naught.
I started to understand this in 2012 while working on "The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment," the heretofore mentioned No. 1 runaway success among all Christian movies and most documentaries for more than a year now.
Jonathan Cahn, the author of "The Harbinger" and my friend, inspired in me a new way of seeing a key and familiar verse in the Bible – 2 Chronicles 7:14:
It says: "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
Think about this.
It's God's prescription for saving a nation. And it doesn't suggest that non-believers need to participate. It doesn't suggest God expects non-believers to do these four things – humble themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways. This is a prescription from the Great Physician for BELIEVERS – HIS PEOPLE.
In other words, things may look very bleak for American believers right now. But we have the power to change that dynamic if we only change OUR behavior – humbling ourselves before the throne of God, repenting of our own sins, seeking HIS face and praying fervently and unceasingly.
It's worth pointing out that, according to this prescription, God doesn't even hear us from heaven unless we follow these four commandments for national healing.
Do you want to see America healed? Do you want to see America blessed? Do you want to see our land returned to prosperity and virtue and favor in God's eyes?
I believe if believers simply do these things right now, miracles will happen. God will deliver us from the sin that abounds in America. He will spare His hand of judgment, which is already upon us in the form of corrupt leaders, economic crisis, cultural decay, miseducation, a failing health-care system, despair and moral bankruptcy.
Do you believe God means what He says?
Then what's holding you back?
And may God truly have a reason to bless America.
