(Dallas Morning News) Ruben Martinez Jimenez, the man arrested by Dallas police for breaching a secure area of Dallas Love Field Sunday night, is now in federal custody, charged with entering an airport area in violation of security requirements.
But according to the affidavit filed today, Jimenez did not yell "Jihad!" as he struggled with officers. Contrary to what it says in Dallas police documents, he actually told officers, "In the name of Jesus, open the gate." According to FBI Special Agent Rodney Sanchez, Jimenez told arresting officers that "he had a vision given to him by God … and that he believed God had directed him to Dallas Love Field."
