“The core political values of our free society are so deeply embedded in our collective consciousness that only a few malcontents, lunatics [e.g., conservatives] generally, ever dare to threaten them.”

~ John McCain

“If it had not been for Senator John McCain and President Obama being for what we knew at the time included al-Qaeda anti-rebel forces [in Libya], then we would still have a U.S. ambassador and three others alive today, because Benghazi would not have happened.”

~ Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas

Most conservatives, including radio icon Mark Levin, have nothing but utter contempt toward Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. and his acolyte, Sen. Lindsay Graham, calling them “media whores” for constantly pushing amnesty for illegal aliens, their incessant strivings to always be in the media eye and especially for their frequent claims of being a “conservative” while at every opportunity slandering young Turk conservatives like Sens. Mike Lee, R-Utah, Rand Paul, R-Ky., Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and my favorite, Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

When I read Cameron Joseph’s op-ed in The Hill, “McCain meets with rebel leaders in Syria,” like most Americans I asked myself: Why in the world is Sen. McCain in Syria giving away his coveted prestige to a motley crew of Muslim fanatics (“Syrian rebels”) who are trying to oust Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad? The Obama administration wants President Assad out of Syria because since 1970 this vicious dictator and his father, Hafez al-Assad, have murdered their way to illegitimate power while being a puppet state of Iran propagating Islamic terrorism worldwide.

The Syrian rebels have been quite clear what type of government they will establish once they oust Assad from Syria – a Muslim caliphate based on radical Shariah law. In other words, Syria will become an al-Qaida state.

Enter Sen. John McShame.

Cameron Joseph wrote in his op-ed that since the start of Syria’s civil war two years ago, Sen. McCain’s visit makes him the highest-ranking U.S. official to enter the country. McCain met with Gen. Salem Idris, the leader of the Supreme Military Council of the Free Syrian Army and remains a leading opponent of the Obama administration’s Syrian policy, calling for the U.S. to provide heavier weaponry to support opposition forces seeking the ouster of al-Assad. The White House, though, has continued to focus on diplomatic solutions to gradually remove Assad from power.

Like a duplicitous Quisling, McCain is pictured all over the world grinning and shaking hands with the Syrian rebels even though they have committed a number of human rights violations and war crimes, including the following:

  • A Syrian rebel carves the heart out of a dead government soldier and eats it. His comrades nearby cheer: “God is great”;
  • Torturing villagers, including widespread raping of women and selling of children as sex slaves;
  • Conducting summary killings, using child soldiers, sectarian violence and committing war crimes;
  • Hostage taking, torture and summary killing of soldiers, pro-government militias and civilians they’ve captured or abducted.

CNN writer James Dawes, in a fine article, “Why a Syrian rebel eats a soldier’s heart,” had this interesting analysis demonstrating the chasm between civilized men and Muslim fanaticism:

How can ordinary men commit such horrific acts? The war criminals I have met did not start out by desecrating corpses, torturing villagers or murdering children. They got there slowly. There are some men who are natural monsters, but most monsters are made.

This is how you make them.

First, take a man (and yes, it is most often a man) and isolate him. Separate him from his family and friends and put him in an information bubble, an echo chamber cut off from the outside world. Make him conform to the values of his new group by exploiting his insecurity and need for approval. This is the first step in any war.

Second, train him to think that the world is painted in black and white, not shades of gray. Train him in either-or, binary thinking. Either you are my friend or my enemy. Either you are pure or impure. Either the people you love are safe or they are in immediate peril. Either you are all right or you are all wrong.

Third, physically exhaust him. Break down his body and spirit – through brutal training or prolonged combat – until he can’t think straight. Subject him to a system of harsh and arbitrary punishment and equally arbitrary rewards. Condition him to feel helpless. A man who feels like he has lost control over his life is a dangerous man, because hurting others feels like control.

Fourth – and this is the most important part – start small. Work up to atrocity step by step. Put him into a strange and frightening environment with minimal regulation. Let the aggression escalate. Each violent act he commits while trying to survive will make the next act feel easier, more natural.

The first time he kills a villager, it is terrifying. The second time, it is hard. The third or fourth time, it starts to feel almost easy. Eventually, he finds himself competing with his fellow soldiers to see who can do it fastest, most often, most creatively.

With this grotesque backdrop of utter terror, gratuitous slaughter and failure of international diplomacy, how in God’s name does Sen. McCain believe that giving greater weaponry to the Syrian rebels – these avowed Muslim fanatics who hate America, Israel and the West – will bring an end to the war atrocities in Syria? They will only escalate as Russia presently has over a dozen warships in Syrian waters running patrols while Assad has vowed to wage war against Israel.

In a macabre paradox, it is fitting that a Syrian rebel soldier ate the heart of a dead Syrian soldier, since Sen. John “McShame” has made his 30 year political career – dating back to the President Ronald Reagan years – by eating the heart out of the Republican Party by undermining it at every opportunity to make himself look more important than he really is. His fake presidential run in 2008 was done to keep any viable Reagan conservative off the ticket (he called Obama a “descent man” and appeared reluctant to debate him seriously), thus paving the way for a two-term Barack Obama presidency of shackling America in Democratic Socialism. This is why I think Sen. John McCain is a RINO – a Republican in name only.
