I have been banned in Britain. My crime? My principled dedication to freedom. I am a human rights activist dedicated to freedom of speech, freedom of conscience and individual rights for all before the law. I fiercely oppose violence and the persecution and oppression of minorities under supremacist law. I deplore violence and work for the preservation of freedom of speech to avoid violent conflict.

I have never been convicted of any crime. I have never been arrested. I became a writer and activist in the wake of 9/11.

For this, my colleague Robert Spencer and I are banned. I shed no tears. I am banned from Mecca, too.

The British Home Secretary, Theresa May, said that my being in the U.K. was “not conducive to the public good.” In fact, banning those who speak in defense of freedom is “not conducive to the public good.” It is painfully apparent that the action of the British authorities will have the opposite effect of what they had intended. They have lit a fuse.

It is also worth noting that in all this media coverage of the banning of Spencer and me, not one media outlet had me on to discuss it. Not one. If what I say is so egregious, why not expose me? The last thing the enemedia want is for people to hear what I have to say – because most rational, freedom-loving people would agree. Channel 4 contacted me for an interview and then canceled shortly thereafter.

Further, not once in all of the media accounts were we identified accurately. We oppose jihad. We are counter jihad. Despite all the column inches, not once is that even mentioned. We are not anti-Muslim. We oppose an ideology that calls for holy war, misogyny, persecution and oppression of nonbelievers. I don’t care who or what you worship. You can worship a stone; just don’t stone me with it. This is very clear. But the media’s twisted and colorful descriptions of us include “anti-Muslim,” “anti-Islam,” “anti-Ground Zero mosque campaigners,” “right-wing activists,” “hatemongers,” “Islamophobic bloggers,” “anti-Muslim pair.”

Repeat after me: COUNTER  JIHAD.

And yet the fascists who oppose freedom and seek to destroy our very way of life are fawned over. The vicious Goebbels-inspired cogs in a hate machine that manufactures smears and libel and destroys the names and reputations of good, decent people are showered with descriptions like “anti-race hate group,” “anti-fascist” (by the venerable New York Times, no less) “anti-extremist” and given reams of column inches. Their nefarious ties and terror-linked connections are never mentioned. It is Orwellian and worse, evil, because they are clearly racist and fascist and extreme. Facts are irrelevant in pursuit of their vicious agenda.

I point this out so that people can see how the media manipulate and manufacture a narrative completely at odds with freedom, individual rights and reason. Be on guard: The war in the information battle space is raging.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Geert Wilders’ Freedom Party, the PVV, asked parliamentary questions in support of Robert Spencer and me, urging the Dutch government to protest the U.K.’s banning of Spencer and me. Wilders was once banned there as well, and we, too, intend to appeal this ban and overturn it.

The entry ban against Robert Spencer and me, and now this, while the left and the Islamic supremacists beat their chests in victory: Instead of allowing a respectful laying of flowers in memory of Lee Rigby on Armed Forces Day, they have given rise and sanction to poison from Islamic jihad advocate Anjem Choudary and his new Islamic Emergency Defense mob (IED – the initials are no accident).

Choudary is free to preach hatred of British soldiers and jihad in Britain. Tommy Robinson and Kevin Carroll of the English Defence League, on the other hand, stopped on their charity walk for a desperately ill girl on Saturday (after which Spencer and I had planned to meet them to lay a wreath at a memorial for Lee Rigby, the British soldier whom a jihadist beheaded on a Woolwich street). Robinson and Carroll were arrested for attempting to walk through a “Muslim area.”

Now just walking down the street gets you arrested in the U.K. if it might upset Muslims. Robinson said: “They’re (police) saying it (Tower Hamlets) is a Muslim area, but to me there is no Muslim area. There are just areas of my capital city that if I have to walk from A to B then you have to walk through.”

Our banning is like a patient on life support refusing medical treatment. A soldier was just beheaded on the street, and they say I’m a terrorist threat. Sign this petition now.
