(London Telegraph) A retired church minister has suggested terminally ill people should take their minds off dying by reading ‘saucy’ books.
The Reverend Ian Gregory has written a pamphlet on preparing for death and advised people do not read The Bible.
He suggested that instead they read “a romance book or a bodice ripper.”
The founder of the UK’s Polite Society and Campaign for Courtesy wrote: “When people are told they are dying reading The Bible might be the last thing they want to do.
“But they shouldn’t be afraid to read a rude or lively book… something a bit saucy.
