To Obama, there's no such thing as 'citizenship'

Reflecting on the untimely death of Sopranos star James Gandolfini, Dr. Savage mused about America’s endless fascination with Mafia culture (FREE audio).
“I’m on the side of the lawman, not the bad man,” Savage said. “But the truth is, we know that police and judges and politicians can be corrupted. That’s why there’s a part of us that sometimes wishes there was a ‘godfather’ we could go to, like the one in the movie, who could get us some justice another way.”
Savage also mocked the president’s use of the phrase “American persons” to describe those who supposedly don’t have to worry about being spied on by the NSA (FREE audio).
“Notice he didn’t say, ‘If you’re an America citizen,’” Savage pointed out. “To Obama, a man of the world, there is no such thing as citizenship. He said, ‘If you’re a U.S. person,’ but what he really meant was, ‘If you’re a U.S. number.’”
‘The Republican Party is hanging by a thread,” Limbaugh declared this week.
Reacting to Jeb Bush’s public scolding of amnesty critics, Rush explained, the GOP is, “either embarrassed of the base or they don’t like the base, you know, the caricature, pro-life, gun-toting, shotgun-shooting, tobacco-spitting crowd, that’s the base” (FREE audio).
Limbaugh occasionally hands the “EIB” microphone over to his long-time call screener, Bo Snerdley. As an African-American, Snerdley holds the distinction of being the show’s “official Obama criticizer,” doing so in mock “ghetto” lingo. This time he called out the president – a.k.a., “the big gangsta,” for “getting the IRS all up in people” (FREE audio).
Only investigative broadcaster Aaron Klein gives you the inside scoop on the real reasons the White House is supporting Syrian “rebels.”
One of the architects of the National Security Agency’s internet surveillance program came on Klein’s show to reveal just how the government “snoops” on American citizens. Klein also offered new evidence that special forces were urged to “stand down” during the Benghazi massacre (FREE audio).
Constitutional expert Mark Levin set listeners straight about how American government is supposed to work, and how badly it has gone off course – all because we’re forgetting the overarching importance of our founding documents.
Levin declared: “The Constitution is the Constitution. When we have elections they’re not elections to overturn the Constitution. They’re not elections to amend it, or rewrite it or change it in any way. They’re elections for individuals who take an oath to follow the Constitution” (FREE audio).
He added that he isn’t one of those cranks who thinks there need to be plebiscites and amendments about every issue. However, Levin added wryly, “Maybe we do need a constitutional amendment: no more than two presidents from the same family.”
Levin was referring to the Bush political dynasty, in light of “jerk” Jeb Bush’s attacks on other conservatives this week (FREE audio).
Laura came out swinging when Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., tried to defend the current plan for immigration reform.
Ryan is certain that new laws will stimulate the economy but couldn’t provide Ingraham with any hard statistics to back up that claim.
Meanwhile, retiring Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., took the opposite view: “If we embrace full on amnesty, it would be legalization first, border security probably never, and that is not where the base of our party is.”
Later, Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., told Laura that, “This bill is up in the air. I think a lot of senators are uncertain and those senators that do support the bill need to be challenged as to whether or not they are really concerned about American workers and really concerned about a lawful border” (FREE audio).
Glenn Beck’s Mercury Radio Arts company has purchased a 72,000 square foot facility in Irving, Texas, to serve as its flagship TV and radio headquarters.
It’s part of Beck’s departure from his long-time broadcasting home in New York City. His program TheBlaze still leases a Manhattan studio, but otherwise, Beck’s family and most of his business has now relocated to the Lone Star State.
