It turns out James Bond's car and Maxwell Smart's shoes aren't just props for TV shows and films, but part of a very real network of secret gadgets, hidden compartments and spies at work in the world of deception.
"This is the first public museum in the world dedicated to espionage," claims Peter Earnest, former CIA agent and now director of the International Spy Museum, where many of these tools of the trade are on display, "and it covers the history, tradecraft and contemporary role of espionage."
