(St. Louis Post-Dispatch) Remember the Rush Bust?
The decision by Missouri’s Republican House leaders to induct conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh into the Hall of Famous Missourians last May was listed among the top 10 stories out of the state in 2012 (for context, No. 1 was Todd Akin’s gaffe and subsequent election loss).
Around the time news broke that a bust of Limbaugh was being crafted for the Capitol rotunda, he was losing advertisers over incendiary comments he made about a female law school student.
Just over a year has passed and much of the attention has died down, but now a St. Louis woman has started a petition calling for the bust’s removal from the Capitol.
