(The Missoulian) The state Legislature passed a measure back in March allowing motorists to salvage roadkill, and now Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is looking for input on how to implement the law.
The commission on Thursday announced it was seeking public comment on a rule to carry out the new legislation, which allows motorists to salvage antelope, deer, elk and moose accidentally killed in vehicle collisions.
"This is a new option in Montana," Ron Aasheim with FWP. "We're trying to do something that's efficient for the individuals that want to pick something up."
