Radio host, author and WND reporter Aaron Klein made the new Talk Stream Live “Power 50,” which ranks the top talk-radio shows streaming on the Web.
Talk Stream Live says it sampled more than 2 million listeners during the first seven months of the year to produce the Power 50 Report, which the site says represents “the 50 most influential and most listened to streaming talk show hosts.”
“Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” is one of only four weekend shows to make the list and is the only local weekend show on the list.
Klein’s program, broadcast live from the beaches of Tel Aviv, is heard on New York’s 77 WABC Radio, the largest talk station in the U.S.
Klein’s two-hour, weekly stream had more total listeners than many nationally known radio personalities who broadcast three hours a day, five days per week on dozens or even hundreds of stations.
Klein came in at No. 33, ranking higher than national daily hosts Mike Gallagher, Mike Huckabee, Mancow, Larry Elder and Lars Larson. Klein’s show is weekly ranked the No. 1-streamed show in his Sunday 7 to 9 p.m. Eastern Time slot.
The Internet ranking is consistent with Klein’s terrestrial radio ratings.
In both 2013 and 2012, Klein made the radio industry’s highly coveted Talkers’ “Heavy Hundred,” the only local weekend host to make the prestigious list both years. With thousands of weekday shows on air, it is rare for a weekend program to make the list, which is often cited as the most definitive radio rankings.
Klein’s WABC show focuses on U.S. politics and foreign affairs. It uniquely fuses news reporting, including exclusive investigative journalism, with the concept of talk radio. It’s the only radio talk show in America broadcast from the Middle East..
While focusing heavily on U.S. affairs, Klein is also known to interview world leaders and senior terrorists live.
