Maybe. Or maybe not…
It was on Tuesday when Al-Jazeera America, the latest enterprise of the Islamist-inspired, Middle East-based media empire, was launched.
“It just so happens Al Jazeera, the pro-Islamic TV news channel, is launching in America on the same day my book, ‘The 9/11 Prophecy,’ is being officially released by WND Books. I can’t help but be struck by the irony of this timing,” said Fitzgerald.
“In my book, I detail the prophetic role of Islam as the future religion of the Antichrist who will rule the world. From its inception, Islam has had a single-minded vision of conquering the world for the religion of Allah,” he said.
“But when most Americans look at the Arab world today, they think this is wishful thinking and a pipe dream. Yet the Bible clearly teaches that there will be an Antichrist who will enforce a worldwide religion. Today there is only one religion on the planet that fits the bill for what the Bible foretells – and that is Islam.”
The author continued, “As I also spell out in ‘The 9/11 Prophecy – Startling Evidence the Endtimes Have Begun,’ the United States of America is currently the world’s sole superpower – the first sole superpower since the Roman Empire. But, I show through Scripture exactly how that must come to an end in order for the Antichrist to come to power in this generation.
“Ironically, the day my book is being released with this message Al Jazeera begins broadcasting into 48 million homes, nearly half the homes in our entire nation. This pro-Islamist broadcaster will deliver a subtle form of Islamic, anti-American propaganda on their channel that they purchased from Al Gore of all people, a man who was formerly vice president and later the candidate for our presidency just before 9/11,” he said.
“At this very moment, we also have a president in Barack Obama who is choosing to help support the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt with its historic vision to re-establish the caliphate and have Shariah law as the law of the land and around the world,” Fitzgerald said.
“Without question, these are historic, providential events in God’s endtime program. It’s my earnest hope and prayer that people will read ‘The 9/11 Prophecy’ and have their eyes opened to what is happening from a biblical perspective and see just what the Lord is doing through these world events to fulfill amazing prophecy.”
Al Jazeera started broadcasting at 3 p.m. ET Tuesday to millions of American homes, after taking over the troubled Current TV that former Vice President Al Gore started.
Jonathan Cahn’s megaseller “The Harbinger,” has been criticized for suggesting that God would judge America, beginning Sept. 11, 2001, without first providing a warning – as He did before judging Israel in Isaiah 9:10.
But the new book, promoted by the publisher as a “prequel” to “The Harbinger,” the bestselling Christian title of 2012 and 2013, and “The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment,” the No. 1 faith movie of the last two years, makes the case that, indeed, there was a warning.
That shocking warning is documented in the now released “The 9/11 Prophecy.”
“I knew for a fact 9/11 was a divine judgment, because the Lord had sent us to New York City with His deliberate warning in 2000, 14 months before it ever happened,” says Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald led a team of moviemakers to a film festival at Madison Square Garden, where “The Book of Revelation,” the final book of “The WatchWORD Bible,” was unveiled in New York City. It was there that Fitzgerald believes he heard from God that New York was a type of Babylon and would soon face judgment.
In “The Harbinger” and “The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment,” the key verse, Isaiah 9:10, talks about a limited incursion against the nation of Israel by the Assyrians. But instead of returning to God, the nation proclaimed it would rebuild, better than before, using its own power, without God.
The premise of the book, and documentary, is that the 9/11 terror attacks were a limited incursion against the United States and following events have reflected the pattern of Isaiah 9:10. Instead of returning to God, American leaders, including Senate President Tom Daschle, starting the next day proclaimed that they would rebuild America, bigger and better than before.
But the Old Testament provides for a warning, says Fitzgerald.
There, in the King Kames Version, Amos says: “Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it? Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”
“I was blown away,” Fitzgerald wrote about the criticism of the “Harbinger.” “What the critique called for is exactly what my book claims did happen. God did provide prior warning. In His mercy He sent a specific deliberate warning to New York City 14 months before 9/11, through His own Word – just as Isaiah 9:8 says, and did so in full public view at Madison Square Garden.”
He points out that Isaiah 9:8 also confirms, “The Lord sent a word against Jacob, and it has fallen upon Israel.
“I had also wondered why the Lord would use that one particular verse – Isaiah 9:10 – as a pattern for the post-9/11 events in America out of all the many other verses in the Bible and other countries in the world and throughout history. Why this particular verse now, and why for America? But once I looked carefully and saw its context, I was amazed. Here, in context with the 9:10 passage, there was not only prior warning, but the promise of the coming of Messiah as a way to give the Jewish believers hope in the midst of judgment.”
He explains: “In terms of proving 9/11 to be a definite divine judgment on America, Cahn and I have come at it in two different ways. In his book (and in “The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment” documentary), he shows how the pattern of Isaiah 9:10 has providently reappeared in convincing detail after 9/11 as a harbinger of further judgment if we don’t repent. In my book, I show how the Lord led us to New York City with His warning before it happened – as convincing proof of judgment and to know 9/11 was a sign pointing to the endtimes.”
The book recounts how God sent the author to Madison Square Garden to release history’s first complete production of “The Book of Revelation” at a secular film festival in July 2000 as a warning to the city. And, incredible as it sounds, his wife’s ancestors possessed the World Trade Center property – Ground Zero – for almost a century at the founding of New York by the Dutch.
“As ‘The 9/11 Prophecy’ shows with undeniable evidence from Scripture, history and current events, America is destined to fall in this generation,” says the author, “and our loss of power is precisely what will pave the way for an Islamic Antichrist to reign. Though the church generally fails to recognize where we are in the biblical timeline, and those who do may lack the facts to prove it, I aim to prove beyond a doubt that the final endtime countdown began with God’s prophetic judgment on Sept. 11, 2001.”
Fitzgerald, trustee and CEO of WatchWORD Productions, is a former writer, director and vice president for development at Cornerstone Television in Pittsburgh.
“The 9/11 Prophecy,” published by WND Books ,is available now at the WND Superstore signed by Jim Fitzgerald.
