Re: “Was Jesus born Sept. 11, 3 B.C.?”

Dear Joseph Farah,

Thanks for the great article on the subject of Jesus true birthday being Sept. 11, 3 B.C.

I’m writing to chime in and to also add one element: Not only was this subject written about by other scholars (as you mention), but well before Sept. 11, 2001.

You may wish to familiarize yourself with the work and writings of Dr. Ernest Martin. He brought out all this 30 or so years ago (well before the attacks we suffered), and you may find a good deal of interesting material on Askelm.com.

I had been wanting to find time and bring this out to you anyway, because Dr. Martin deals with other subjects as well, including the matter of “Sabbath keeping,” etc., and how this concern is dealt with in the New Testament by the Apostle Paul, particularly in the Book of Galatians.

It would be of great value for all serious students of the Bible to inform themselves in this area.

For us to be keeping days of religious observance is the subject – one we need to understand the “ins and outs” of. The truth is, we must recognize what Christ did in keeping those requirements perfectly on our behalf, and our acceptance of His works on our behalf.  It’s very important, very valuable.
