(KHQ-TV) Court documents released Wednesday unveil new details about what happened the night Delbert Belton was brutally attacked and details about the morning Kenan Adams-Kinard was taken into custody.
The documents say Adams-Kinard’s mother received an anonymous tip about where Kenan Adams-Kinard was hiding. She then notified Spokane Police around 2:00 a.m. August 26th.
Shortly after, Spokane Police went to a home in the 500 block of W Montgomery where Adams-Kinard was believed to be hiding in a basement apartment. Officers were advised it was an older home that had been made into numerous apartments.
According to court documents, officers noticed movement in the home, but no on answered the door when they knocked. It says police announced their presence outside of the home, established a perimeter, and a short time later Adams-Kinard came out and was taken into custody.
