(Indianapolis Star) An old school building in northeast Indiana with ties to the late Hoosier actor James Dean is falling to the ground.

Much of the former Fairmount High School, located about 60 miles northeast of Indianapolis, collapsed late Thursday.

“Last night, we had the whole roof come down,” said Roger Reneau, Fairmount’s chief of police.

The cave-in came as no huge surprise, Reneau said. A smaller section of the building collapsed earlier this summer, on July 3.
