According to a top Christian film-rating organization, “Disinformation,” the acclaimed new documentary from WND Films, is “a brilliant exposé of the communist strategy to destroy the West” which showcases a “very strong moral worldview” and “every minute of this two-part documentary is worth watching.”
Within days of its summer 2013 release, Disinformation: The Secret Strategy to Destroy the West” shot to the top of the list of Amazon.com’s “Hot New Releases.”
The two-hour documentary – created as a companion film for the WND Books summer blockbuster book “Disinformation: Former Spy Chief Reveals Secret Strategies for Undermining Freedom, Attacking Religion, and Promoting Terrorism” – depicts the amazing true story of a top Soviet bloc spy chief who, at great risk, left the “dark side” to shine a light on the greatest source of political evil in today’s world.
Living in the U.S. under a protected identity due to assassination threats, Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa, the highest-ranking communist intelligence official ever to defect to America, reveals the secret strategies that, to this day, are undermining and destroying Western civilization. The film documentary, which includes rare interviews, dramatic footage and high-level insider information, dramatically depicts how disinformation – the evil “science” of deception that so disastrously shaped the world during the last generation – is still very much alive in the current generation under Barack Obama.
Besides showcasing the life and revelations of Lt. Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa, “Disinformation” illustrates major communist mass-deception campaigns that still serve to fan the flames of Islamic jihad, turn Americans against their own country and demonize Christianity.
It features new interviews with many experts, including co-author Ronald Rychlak, former CIA chief James Woolsey, author David Horowitz, Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, U.S. Congressman Frank Wolf, historian Michael Ledeen, journalist Arnaud de Borchgrave, defense analyst Frank Gaffney, Nina Khrushcheva, great-granddaughter of Nikita Khrushchev, deputy undersecretary of defense Jed Babbin, assistant secretary of defense Richard Perle, Vladimir Tismaneanu, director, Center for the University of Maryland’s Study of Post-Communist Societies, Michael Maloof, former security policy analyst for the U.S. Defense Department, Rachel Ehrenfeld, terrorism expert and director of American Center for Democracy, David Kupelian, author and managing editor of WND, Gary Krupp, founder and president of Pave the Way Foundation, Yuri Yarim-Agaev, physicist and Soviet dissident, Wayne Barnes, former FBI agent, Roger L. Simon, novelist and screenwriter, Darnelle Mason, missionary to Romania, Palm Beach Rabbi Leonid Feldman and Romanian-born NASA aerospace scientist Constantin Rauta.
In its review of the “Disinformation” film documentary, MOVIEGUIDE wrote:
Summary: “Disinformation” is a brilliant exposé of the mendacious communist strategy to destroy the West, from a top insider in the Soviet Union’s Eastern European security forces in Romania who defected. “Disinformation” is highly recommended viewing for every concerned American.
Review: “Disinformation” is a brilliant exposé of the communist strategy to destroy the West. The technique involves talking lies and misinformation and then getting third-party disinterested media to repeat the lies until the disinformation frames the issue. Every minute of this two-part documentary is worth watching.
The documentary features the highest-level security agent who ever defected to the West, Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa, the head of the Romanian version of the KGB. At a time when the United States under the presidency of Jimmy Carter was treating Romania and the mass killer dictator Ceausescu as an ally, Gen. Pacepa defects and reveals the entire disinformation campaign, which was crippling the West. It shows how 4,000 Soviet agents infected the Muslim countries with the heinous book “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.” It shows how the Soviets demonized Pope Pius XII and carefully demonized the United States.
Volume II [the film includes two DVDs] focuses on the close links between communism and Islam, including the fact that most of the Muslim leaders were trained in Russia. Finally, the movie comes to show how the leading practitioners of disinformation in the West, like Oliver Stone, unwittingly serve the cause of totalitarianism. Oliver Stone’s documentary miniseries “Untold History of the United States” is a nasty piece of work undermining the history of America and following the communist line to a “T.”
Content advisory: Very strong moral worldview exposing the disinformation campaign of the communists to destroy Western civilization, with a man escaping communism and praying for the first time in years and President Ronald Reagan talking about God and faith defeating the forces of communism; no foul language; violent newsreel footage of killings in communist countries and in Vietnam, but nothing extreme; no sex; upper male nudity of Holocaust victims and victims of communism thrown into mass graves; no alcohol; no smoking or drugs; and, brilliant refutation of communist propaganda.
“Disinformation,” concluded the review, which gave the production a four-star (highest possible) rating, “is a massive work, but well edited and keeps your attention throughout its running time. Although it could have been trimmed a little and tweaked in certain places, overall it is a must-see video exposé of communism. With time running out on faith and freedom, “Disinformation” is highly recommended viewing for every concerned American.”
And that’s a view shared by many, including former CIA Director R. James Woolsey, who says, “‘Disinformation’ will change the way you look at intelligence, foreign affairs, the press and much else besides.”
IMPORTANT NOTE: Order Lt. Gen. Ion Mihai Pacepa’s brand new book, “Disinformation: Former Spy Chief Reveals Secret Strategy for Undermining Freedom, Attacking Religion and Promoting Terrorism” or the companion film, “Disinformation: The Secret Strategy To Destroy The West.” Better yet, get both the book and DVD together – and save!
