(NEWS.COM.AU) — Aussies, you’ve been busted! A global survey has found more than a quarter of Australian travelers admit to stealing items from hotel rooms.

Surprisingly, it wasn’t those fancy little toiletries that proved most tempting for sticky-fingered Australians, instead magazines and books were the first to go, the Hotels.com survey found.

Australians weren’t the worst offenders. Travelers from 29 countries took part in the survey, with the French, Canadians, Americans, Chinese and Swedish even more likely to pocket something extra from their hotel stays. The top three nationalities for hotel theft were …
