(WPTV) — When Nicia McNelley was going into her pre-scheduled C-section last Friday, little did she know she would be just ounces away from breaking a record.
"I couldn't believe it. I mean, I have two other kids, but not as big as this guy," McNelley said.
McNelley's baby -- named Isaiah Johnson -- topped the scale at a whopping 14lbs. and 7.6 ounces, becoming the second biggest baby to be born in Florida, this year, and one of the largest ever born at UF Health Shands, catching both the doctors and the mother by surprise.
"Me and his dad, you know, sat and thought, you know, maybe at the most maybe 10 (pounds). Maybe 12 (pounds). But, no, not 14 (pounds)," said McNelley.
