2013 will go down as another year of tea-party Republicans, activists and organizations fighting off the leftist agenda against responsible policy. The tea party worked tirelessly to elect conservatives to office, and we almost smelled victory in key races, especially in Virginia and New Jersey. The Obamas stumped for Terry McAuliffe in Virginia in the gubernatorial race, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg financially helped hoist Mayor Cory Booker to victory in the Senate race in New Jersey. Conservatives regrouped from those losses only to face the Democratic blame game regarding the government shutdown as we tried to stave off the monstrous tax known as Obamacare. Yes, in 2013 conservatives fought hard and pushed back on the devious far-left Obama agenda in the interest of preserving our badly bruised yet resilient republic.

Come 2014, conservatives plan to up the ante and strip Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of his iron fisted governing and free America from the Reid-ruled plantation.

From the early days of the tea party, Reid and his cohorts – particularly House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi – have had it in for conservatives and tea-party activists. The underhanded passing of the disastrous “unaffordable” Affordable Care Act in 2010 ignited conservatives and tea-party Republicans to take Reid and his cohorts to task. We decried the implementation of such dangerous legislation, preceded by Pelosi’s deceitful, “we have to pass the bill so you can find out what’s in it” trickery. And when tea-party Republicans recently again raised opposition to Obamacare and called for the tax hike (affordable health care?) to be defunded, Reid billed us as “extreme,” fanatics” and “anarchists.” Furthermore, Reid arrogantly threatened that no defunding of Obamacare will happen as long as Barack Obama is POTUS and he is Senate majority leader – despite the fact that his own healthcare costs have increased $4,500!

The blind will lead the blind …

Harry Reid is going for the tea-party jugular in 2014. He ended 2013 by employing the “nuclear option,” stripping the Senate of the ability to filibuster executive branch and judicial nominees – with the exception of the Supreme Court. And whom did Reid blame? Republicans. “Republicans have routinely used the filibuster to prevent President Obama from appointing his executive team or confirming judges,” Reid stated. He continued, “It’s time to change. It’s time to change the Senate before this institution becomes obsolete.” Usurping the process of filibustering causes liberty and freedom to be one step closer to becoming obsolete, not the Senate. Harry Reid is determined to keep Americans enslaved on his plantation.

It’s shaping up to be an extremely bad year for Democrats in the midterm elections, particularly with the Obamacare debacle front and center. Obama is losing credibility and popularity among the American people, even among notable rappers. Harry Reid is on the verge of losing his majority. His “Obamacare” senators are running amok – like chickens with their heads cut off – on Reid’s plantation.

Reid does not have Senate seats all neatly sewn up for the Democrats in the midterm elections. Many vulnerable Democratic senators are up for re-election, and some, such as Kay Hagan, D-N.C., and Mary Landrieu, D-La., are performing badly in their states due to the epic fail: Obamacare. Both senators were extremely loud and proud of what was supposed to be the hallmark legislation of Obama’s presidency, but upon its barely-a-fizzle launch, Hagan flip-flopped and demanded answers, while Landrieu proposed legislation and ran television ads in support of Americans keeping their existing policies. Sens. Mark Pryor, D-Ark., and Mark Begich, D-Alaska, also proponents of Obamacare, are up for re-election in states that could quite easily slip from them and go Republican.

Even Minnesota’s Al Franken, co-author of Obamacare, was not happy with the Obamacare rollout. But Franken and Reid have strong bonds. Franken consistently campaigned for union support for Reid, and his voting habit on issues important to Minnesotans are treacherous. Franken was happy with Reid’s filibuster takeover, pronouncing that usurping the filibuster was justified. Franken’s constituents are not pleased with his performance. If conservatives defeat Al Franken, we defeat Harry Reid! If conservatives defeat Kay Hagan, we defeat Harry Reid!

That’s good news for America.

America has suffered under Harry Reid’s rule. Reid is in league with Obama and his ilk; he’s made absurd statements that show he does not take interest in true reform and policies that work. He is on his own Democratic plantation and invokes burdensome policy yokes on Americans. In Reid’s home state of Nevada, unemployment ranks highest in the nation. And Nevadans have received the news that their 26-week unemployment benefits will end. Extending temporary benefits would further add to the national shortfall, and America cannot add one more penny to her swelling deficit.

Harry Reid wants to “lead the Senate for eight more years.” Bear this in mind: Reid is intent on further stripping the Senate past the nuclear option! He wants to further repress Americans.

NO!

Americans cannot afford Harry Reid any longer. It is time to get free from his plantation politics at the voting booth in 2014.
