Conservative hero and former U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., has found a candidate he says is worthy of a congressional seat and the support of the conservative grassroots.
That candidate is Dan Bongino, author of the New York Times bestseller "Life Inside the Bubble."
West declared Bongino a "patriot" and an "exceptional American" in a statement published on West's website.

"Look into the eyes of Dan Bongino and you'll see conviction like that of the early Minutemen at Concord Bridge. His love of country is above reproach," West said in the statement.
Bongino is a former Secret Service agent who served under Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama. He left his career behind to serve the American people in a new capacity and describes his experience as a Secret Service agent and why he left in "Life Inside the Bubble."
Bongino currently is running to represent Maryland's 6th Congressional District, and West believes Bongino's background and values are exactly what Washington and America need right now.
The WND Superstore has Dan Bongino’s fascinating insider story, "Life Inside the Bubble."
"At a time when our nation requires men and women of honor, integrity, and character, having Dan Bongino arrive on the scene is refreshing. He articulates his vision clearly and in an irrefutable manner. He possesses an impeccable image – a square jawed warrior. I know Dan Bongino has all the right mechanics and ability to win this election," West said.
Published by WND Books, "Life Inside the Bubble" tells the story of Bongino's experiences inside the Washington, D.C., "matrix" – including within the inner sanctum of the White House – and shows readers why a government filled with some very dedicated people nevertheless continues to make tragic and perhaps fatal mistakes.
Bongino's book has been endorsed by several commentators and public figures, including Sean Hannity and Mark Levin.
Bongino began his career in law enforcement with the NYPD in 1995. He joined the ranks of the Secret Service in 1999 as a special agent where he was assigned to investigate financial crimes. In 2006, he entered into duty with the elite Presidential Protective Division in the administration of Bush and remained on protective duty during the change in administration to Obama.
He resigned from the Secret Service in 2011 to run for a U.S. Senate seat in Maryland.
