Rush Limbaugh has announced the second title in his hit series of kid-friendly history books is available for pre-order.
His first children’s book, last year’s bestselling “Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims,” gained Limbaugh a legion of new young fans who have been calling in to his radio show almost every day, asking if and when a sequel was on the way.
Limbaugh assured them this afternoon that the next book, “Rush Revere and the First Patriots,” was now available for pre-order.
Like the first book in the series, this one sees time traveler Rush Revere and his talking horse Liberty journeying back to America’s founding. In the new book, Revere, Liberty and their young companions become eyewitnesses to the Boston Tea Party and other exciting events in colonial times. On the way, they meet Benjamin Franklin, Sam Adams and other Founding Fathers.
“The horse can time travel anywhere they want to go in American history,” Limbaugh explained, “and they can take students from the middle school where Rush Revere is a substitute teacher with them. They can take their iPhone, their smartphone, and videotape actual history and show it to the class.”
“Rush Revere and the First Patriots” includes the same colorful illustrations and other features designed to expose young people to accurate and exciting stories of American history – information they rarely receive in today’s public schools.
“There is a mission here, as I say,” Limbaugh explained. “The mission is to connect with people that normally wouldn’t and don’t listen to a program like this but who someday will, and maybe their parents and grandparents do. I’m very proud of what I do, and I want as many people to be aware of it as possible. I’m very proud of what I believe. I’m very proud of my country. I want everybody to be. I really do. It may sound like pie-in-the-sky, but I want everybody to love this country as I do.”
To that end, Limbaugh has also set up a website where young fans can leave messages for Rush Revere and Liberty. As WND reported, he’s also hinted that an amusement park with a Rush Revere theme may one day come to fruition.
“Rush Revere and the First Patriots” will be released on March 11, but is available for pre-order at Amazon.
