(New York Daily News) Warning: Video contains offensive language:

Harrowing new footage out of Afghanistan captures the moment a U.S. Air Force jet mistakenly dropped a 500-pound bomb on Army soldiers in a remote combat outpost.

In a grim coincidence, the near-fatal strike reportedly occurred at a post named for Cpl. Pat Tillman, the NFL star-turned soldier who was felled by friendly fire in Afghanistan in 2004, the Air Force Times reported.

The video, captured by a soldier’s helmet cam, was filmed in September 2012, the Pentagon confirmed to the Daily News.
