(PENN LIVE) STATE COLLEGE – State Patty’s Day is rolling on in State College, as students and friends decked out in green are emerging from their apartments and commencing the all-day drinking on the pseudo-holiday.
And while today is the notorious drinking day in State College, the Friday night before State Patty’s Day has been known to create problems for local law enforcement as well. But this year is apparently different already.
The State College Police Department reported today that it made 20 arrests/ non-traffic citations between noon Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday. Those figures are down 47 percent from the same time period last year.
