There is a silver lining to the craven cancellation of Ayaan Hirsi Ali's honorary degree by the quisling cowards at Brandeis University. It has become a big story, and people who have never heard of Ayaan Hirsi Ali are being exposed to her for the first time. Issues that are largely absent from mainstream media outlets, Islamic honor violence, female genital mutilation, jihad doctrine, etc., are being discussed openly. It's revelatory.
Not only is Ayaan Hirsi Ali and her message being exposed to millions of Americans who have been shielded from her truths, but the Hamas-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, is finally being exposed on who and what it is.
Megyn Kelly conducted an interview last week with the dishonest jihadist, Ibrahim Hooper, of CAIR. Hooper lives by Muhammad's mantra, "War is deceit." But unlike Bill O'Reilly, who has called Hamas-CAIR "stand up guys" and once assured Nihad Awad, who was smearing me on his show, that he "would take care of that woman" (meaning me), Megyn Kelly pressed him – though he hardly gave her time to speak.
Going off like a car alarm, Hooper contradicted himself at every turn. On the one hand, he smeared and denounced the documentary "Honor Diaries" because of the company that produced the film. Hooper denounced the film not for its message but for its messenger. (He never addressed content.) But when Megyn Kelly asked questions about CAIR's jihad past and unsavory connections, Hooper whined like a little girl about "CAIR-bashing."
When smearing "Honor Diaries," "Honest Ibe" Hooper says, "You have to see who the messenger is to determine what the real agenda is of their message." Really? But not when the messenger is CAIR, eh, Ibe?
So much of what Honest Ibe said to Megyn Kelly was just not true. But lies are their business in order to advance their Shariah agenda. Hooper once said: "I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future."
Indeed.
Lie: In the interview, Honest Ibe insists that they don't protest Hirsi Ali's speeches. Hamas-CAIR actually protests against anyone and everyone who speaks candidly of violent jihad and the punitive Shariah. Everyone and all the time. It has gotten to such a point that counter-jihadists and former Muslims are no longer asked to speak at schools and at other venues.
Breathing and lying is one for the Hoopster.
Lie: Honest Ibe insists that Hamas-CAIR didn't try to shut down "Honor Diaries" screenings, which we know for a fact that they did. Honest Ibe says that CAIR was merely "educating those who were fooled into having these screenings." Fooled. Yes, like the hundreds of thousands of dead honor killing victims.
Lie: Honest Ibe claims that CAIR condemns honor killings, female genital mutilation, etc. Really? Where? And if that were so, then why did CAIR go after Ohio teen Rifqa Bary and work furiously to return her to her devout family after her father threatened to kill her for leaving Islam? What has CAIR done to address radicalization in the Muslim community and in the mosques? By their fruits we shall know them, and so we know them.
Lie: Honest Ibe accuses Hirsi Ali of "hijacking a legitimate issue." As if. Ayaan Hirsi Ali lived it. This is her life. It is Hooper who means to hijack our freedoms. Hooper's vicious smears and defamation against the brave Hirsi Ali are illustrative of the battle we face daily.
Hooper even dared to equate Ayaan Hirsi Ali producing the film to Nazis making a film about Jews.
Lie: Honest Ibe claims that Hamas-CAIR has repeatedly condemned Hamas and Hezbollah. Please, someone, send me those links because I haven't seen them. What I do know is that they were named as unindicted co-conspirators in funding Hamas and were established as a U.S. arm of the Muslim Brotherhood. I wish Megyn Kelly had asked Hamas-CAIR about its co-conspirator status in the largest terrorist funding trial in our nation's history.
But still, her interview with this dishonest Islamic supremacist is good to see.
Honest Ibe lauds CAIR's 20-year pristine record: "If you have something specific that we have said or done in 20 years of putting our message out there, please tell me."
OK, Ibie, here goes. Robert Spencer sums it up succinctly: "CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case – so named by the Justice Department. CAIR operatives have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups. Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror. CAIR's cofounder and longtime Board chairman (Omar Ahmad), as well as its chief spokesman (Ibrahim Hooper), have made Islamic supremacist statements. Its California chapter distributed a poster telling Muslims not to talk to the FBI. CAIR has opposed every anti-terror measure that has ever been proposed or implemented."
Through both segments of the interview, Hooper exposes who and what both he and Hamas-CAIR really are. I love how Hooper claims to be in constant contact with the FBI (to which Kelly responds, "I bet you are"), while never mentioning the 2008 FBI policy banning non-investigative cooperation with CAIR. The ban on interactions with CAIR resulted from an FBI investigation into the Muslim Brotherhood's support network for Hamas in the U.S.
These Islamic supremacists invoke freedom of speech, invoke the First Amendment to kill freedom of speech and undermine the First Amendment.
I am only sorry that Megyn Kelly didn't give Ayaan Hirsi Ali this kind of time. Or Wafa Sultan, Nonie Darwish. But she did at least have Hirsi Ali on last week to discuss these critical issues and the smear campaign against truth tellers by Islamic supremacists and Islamic apologists. Had Brandeis not canceled, this interview would never have taken place.
The crushing irony is the subject of Hirsi Ali's commencement speech was to speak to how incredibly privileged these students are, "especially the female students, that they're growing up in a world that is free where they have proper education and the way to get to a better world, a world of peace is to get the ability as young people to learn how to think critically. And I know my presence for the Muslim students at Brandeis and at other universities is offensive or controversial but I thought that is exactly what we send our kids to school so that they can be confronted by ideas that they are not comfortable with."
Indeed.
The reprehensible cancellation of Hirsi Ali surprised a great many people. Americans are painfully unaware of the escalating war on free speech and how supremacists with totalitarian agendas are imposing restrictions on certain speech. This one incident brings that terrible truth to millions of Americans.
Ibrahim Hooper usually gets the white-glove treatment from lazy, clueless and compromised mainstream media muppets. Not this time. Megyn Kelly deserves our gratitude for that.
