Hillary Clinton on Thursday displayed one of the qualifications she holds to serve as president of the United States: the ability to dodge a thrown shoe.
People will recall that a peeved Iraqi journalist threw shoes at President George W. Bush during one of his visits to Baghdad. He successfully dodged both.
On Thursday, video from KTNV Television reveals that someone threw a shoe at Hillary Clinton while she was speaking at the Mandalay Bay casino resort in Las Vegas.
She dodged and ducked.
"Good thing she didn't play softball like I did," she said, according to a report by the Las Vegas Sun.
Casino security officials immediately ushered the woman out and authorities said she was arrested.
As she prepares to make a decision on whether to run for president in 2016, former Secretary of State Clinton was a guest speaker for an organization that represents company that deal with metals, paper, plastics and glass, called the Scrap Recycling Industries.
It was in 2008 that a journalist took his best shot, missing Bush. Muntathar al-Zaidi missed Bush entirely:
The situation also recalled an incident that happened when Barack Obama was at a rally in Philadelphia, and a book came sailing his direction:
The New York Daily News said, of the 2010 incident, Obama didn't appear to see the book as it flew past him, and it was unclear who threw the book.
At the Indecision Forever site, a commentator suggested, "Can you imagine someone throwing $90 Nikes at President Obama? Not in this economy."
