Definitely worth checking out! For a class project, Reddit user Saabn was asked to decorate a tissue box with Presidential Quotes. What he came up with would earn him an A+ if I was his teacher. What grade would you give him? Credit The Federalist Papers for finding this one!
Farah-Cahn Tour jumps!
WND publisher Joseph Farah and best-selling author Jonathan Cahn were the subjects of a comedic spoof video created at Jib Jab by “fellow travelers” who journeyed to Israel with them last year. Cahn, a messianic rabbi, is the author of the New York Times bestselling book “The Harbinger.” Farah, a Christian Arab-American and a former Middle East correspondent, founded WND 17 years ago and has created a media empire that includes book publishing, documentaries and videos.
The WND tour to Israel took place last November and attracted 400 attendees.
The spoof video’s accompanying text reads: “The true meaning of Easter. When the bunny meets all God’s Children. Happy Passover and Easter. The real Farah-Cahn tour.”
Farah and Cahn will be hosting another expedition to the Holy Land this Nov. 10-20. Get trip details and register at the WND Israel tour website, where you can view video highlights of last year’s tour, see photographs. Watch the tour preview video here.
If you’re traveling with small children …
One of the funniest pre-flight safety instruction speeches we’ve heard has to be this one. This Southwest Airlines flight attendant might have had them rolling in the aisle if they hadn’t already been buckled in. With more than 6,752,472 views, this one is a high-flyer! Watch it and see why.
One man’s travels through the looking Glass
Matt Labash decided he’d see what Google Glass is all about. In his view, the wearable face computer is virtual overkill. But it’s how he tells of the experience that’s amusing and engaging. As he explains it, Glass essentially puts a smart phone, including camera, video recorder and Internet, on your eye … “a titanium bar draped across his brow, to which is affixed a rectangular three-quarter-inch LED display over one eye and a colorful plastic ‘touchpad’ arm that rests over one ear and also holds the circuitry.”
You have to read this to appreciate the absurdity of Google Glass and the axiom that since the beginning of time, there have been warnings about the dangers of forbidden knowledge. Care for an apple, Adam?
In last week’s column (“What’s Really Gone Viral on Video”) I wrote about the viral media storm surrounding the standoff between Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy and his supporters versus agents of the federal Bureau of Land Management. In the ensuing week, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada publicly described Bundy supporters as “domestic terrorists.” Folks at the Bundy Ranch didn’t waste any time mocking Reid’s description and have taken to wearing “domestic terrorist” name tags.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal also reported the quote:
“They’re nothing more than domestic terrorists,” Reid said during an appearance at a Las Vegas Review-Journal “Hashtags & Headlines” event at the Paris. “I repeat: what happened there was domestic terrorism.”
When Geoff “Gully” Gulevich rides his bike, he does more than follow the dusty trail. Watch this helmet cam video of a death-defying ride. Caution! It’s two minutes and seven seconds of breath-holding terror! If you experience vertigo, don’t watch! Full story here. More videos about “Gully’s” bike escapades here.
Tweet on, patriots!
The recently released Clinton Library report about the Internet, “Communication Stream of Conspiracy Commerce,” warned of the growing influence of the GOP online: “The internet has become one of the major and most dynamic modes of communication. The internet can link people, groups and organizations together instantly. Moreover, it allows an extraordinary amount of unregulated data and information to be located in one area and available to all. The right wing has seized upon the internet as a means of communicating its ideas to people. Moreover, evidence exists that Republican staffers surf the internet, interacting with extremists in order to exchange ideas and information.”
Wrote one commenter at I Own The World, “Funny that the people who conspire to destroy America always see ‘conspiracies’ concocted against them. It never dawns on them that the ‘conspiracy’ is simply Americans trying to defend themselves.” Touché!
