A gun-store owner in Katy, Texas, is looking to President Obama as an unlikely ally to boost weapon sales.
A marquee outside Tactical Firearms boasts: "I like my guns like Obama likes his voters. Undocumented."
"Thank God for our First and Second Amendment rights," the store's owner, Jeremy Alcede, told KTRK-TV in a statement. "It's meant as a joke. It's meant to be funny."
Employees at the gun shop collaborate on ideas for a new slogan each week, and the sign has become somewhat of a tourist attraction around town, according to the TV station.
"I think that so much is going on in the government that we need to speak up and say what we believe," said Katy resident Nancy Newbrough.
"Political statement, yes. Freedom of speech? Yeah," Jason Wilfon told KTRK. "Some people might not like it, some will."
Alcede made headlines last year when he hosted Piers Morgan's CNN show at his store to talk about gun control, but then claimed Morgan "completely misrepresented" his views.
"The points that I did make were just garbled to the point that people were asking why was I speaking in broken sentences, and I said, 'Look back at the video and you'll see, in one instance I'm wearing glasses, one I'm not. One hearing protection, one not. They just chopped it up so bad it wasn't even funny,'" Alcede complained to KIAH-TV.
