Dr. Savage explained why the liberal idea of “freedom” is actually deeply flawed, but nevertheless seductive and insidious:
“They confuse you into thinking that if you can have sex with anybody you want at any time, you’re free. But the truth is, they’ve enslaved you with this free sex,” Savage said. “In all other spheres, you have almost no freedom. You are a complete and total drone who is constantly spied upon” (Free audio).
Pointing to the Catholic Church’s pro-amnesty stance, especially in the United Sates, Savage said that churches and other places of worship that “step over the boundaries of religion and start practicing politics” should “either lose their tax-exempt status or they should get back to their preaching and not their teaching” (Free audio).
To the annoyance of many liberals, Rush Limbaugh was voted the “author of the year” at the Children’s Choice Book Awards, in recognition of his bestselling children’s book “Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims.”
Talking about the gala award ceremony, Limbaugh told his audience: “I have to tell you, there were so many immigrants that came up to me before the event started, when everybody was being seated and during the event, and they were telling me what coming to America meant to them. One of them was the photographer, one of the official photographers for the event.”
He also played his brief acceptance speech on his show (Free audio).
After Republican strategist Karl Rove raised the possibility that Hillary Clinton might have residual brain damage from an old concussion, Limbaugh quipped, “What difference does it make?” (Free audio).
It was Levin vs. Levin on the airwaves this week, as host Mark Levin proclaimed that Carl Levin “should be dragged in front of a grand jury and forced to answer questions” about the IRS scandal involving tea-party non-profits (Free audio).
Levin also talked about Warren Buffet’s financial contributions to the abortion industry.
“This guy is held up as this great public figure,” said Levin, “even though he’s a private, corporate titan. Tens of billions of dollars. $1.2 billion dollars, one man? And he’s this great guy, he knows all about the economy – he doesn’t know anything. He’s just another stupid billionaire” (Free audio).
As a guest on “Fox & Friends,” Ingraham discussed former Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner’s new memoir, in which he claimed he was “asked to lie about the role Social Security plays in the federal government’s fiscal problems.”
“Well, if this was actually going on in the White House,” Ingraham said, “didn’t Tim Geithner, as a public servant, have a duty to actually resign at that point or go to the American people and say, ‘You know something, I’m being asked to say things that are actually untrue, and I’m not going to do it because I actually believe in ultimate truths, and the truth is Social Security is a driver of our debt, and we’re in real trouble when it comes to funding Social Security’?” (Free video).
Back behind her own microphone, Ingraham focused her criticism on Sal Russo, accusing the Tea Party Express co-founder of “abandoning the interests of American workers” (Free audio).
Legendary broadcaster Casey Kasem was reported missing earlier this week. As authorities searched for the ailing Top 40 DJ, Glenn Beck told his audience: “Just pray for the family. And Casey Kasem, thank you. As a 12-year-old kid that got into radio because it was magic, because the power of the spoken word was something that could take you places that you had never been, it made you have feelings that you had never felt before and hear stories of people that you had never met. But by the time you were finished telling the story, we felt we knew them. Thank you, Casey Kasem” (Free audio).
