WASHINGTON – The smash hit movie version of Mark Biltz's sensational "Blood Moons" story about a pattern of lunar and solar eclipses taking place on biblical high-holy days is now available for purchase or rental as an iTunes download.
It's the first WND Films release to be available for digital download, with others currently being processed for availability not only on iTunes, but through Amazon and other major providers of downloadable movies.
Biltz, a Tacoma, Washington, pastor, discovered what is being called "the blood moons phenomenon" several years ago. But the pattern he found in studying the Bible and astronomical charts at NASA began on Passover 2014. The eclipses, which give the moon an eerie blood color, will be repeated on the Feast of Tabernacles this fall, again on Passover in 2015 and finally on Tabernacles in 2015. He found a pattern of blood moons tetrads associated with important historical events concerning the nation of Israel.
The teaching caused the Passover blood moon to become a worldwide sensation, with millions around the world watching the moon turn colors.

Joseph Farah, founder and chief executive officer of WND, said the decision to launch the "Blood Moons" movie as WND Films first digital release was an easy one.
"Mark Biltz's book and the movie we made as a companion release have been tremendously successful in the marketplace as traditional books, e-books and DVDs," he said. "The book and movie are still red hot. That's why we chose to make the 'Blood Moons' movie the very first digital release on iTunes. Other download options will be available very soon, too. But then we will begin making all our other movies available the same way. It just takes time."
In promotion of his book and movie, Biltz has appeared on scores of national and international radio programs and has also appeared on the "Today" show and the Fox News Channel, among other top media.
He told WND one of his primary messages on radio and TV programs was telling hosts and audience to read Joel 2:31 in Christian Bibles (Joel 3:4,5 in Jewish Bibles): "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call."
April 15 marked the start of an extraordinary chain of events in the heavens, which happened to fall on Passover.
What began on Passover is called a "blood moon tetrad," an astronomical series of lunar eclipses that has occurred before in history. But there's something very different about this series, because the eclipses occur on the biblical holidays of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot, in 2014, and 2015.
Prior tetrads have occurred in 1967, when the Six-Day War occurred, in the late 1940s, when Israel was reborn as a nation, and several centuries earlier, when Jews were being expelled from Spain.
Biltz' book "Blood Moons: Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs," details the science of astronomy in light of Bible prophecy. He began to teach and explain his discovery of a series of lunar and solar eclipses that happened at the same time important dates (Passover, Feast of Tabernacles) on the Hebrew calendar.
"Blood Moons" was released nationwide March 18, and has consistently being one of the top books sold on Amazon. A full-length documentary produced by WND Films and featuring Biltz was also released the same day. It has been one of the top sellers in faith and spirituality on Amazon since its release.
Biltz said that to understand the meanings of signs, it's important to know the seasons, feasts and calendar of the Lord. Biltz, founder of El Shaddai Ministries, is a well-known commentator on the feasts of the Lord who has spoken in Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Canada and throughout the United States.
The Jim Bakker Show host Jim Bakker called Pastor Biltz work, "the most important book of the times."
There are other books about the blood moon phenomenon in the marketplace, but they are all derivative of the work and research done by Mark Biltz since 2007.
