As I continue to blaze across America on my SHUTUP&JAM! tour, the best damn rocking tour of my life, I am moved by the positive spirit and energy I witness everywhere I go. I am blessed to hold intimate roundtable dialogue with good, hardworking, playing Americans dedicated to being as productive and generous as possible in their lives, knowing how that productivity is boosted by recreational time away from work in order to cleanse our souls and recharge the batteries.
And, of course, who doesn’t know that my ferocious R&B&R&R soundtrack is indeed the definitive groove to ultimately re-create one’s energy, spirit and attitude? So, therefore, I am joined at these gatherings backstage and at various charity functions each night and each week with the brightest, kindest, smartest and just plain best people a guy could ever wish to hang with.
As we celebrate the unlimited good in our lives, we know the most important priority of all for we the people is to admit to and chip away at the bad and ugly that is unfortunately at an all-time high in America.
And what a target-rich environment it is for bad and ugly fixers out here.
We shake our heads in abject confusion and disbelief at the vacant claims by the left and liberal Democrats that capitalism is bad and that America is greedy when it is universally known that at least half of the country is subsidized by the producers. There simply is no more generous, giving, loving society on earth than hardworking Americans.
Hell, even Bono the U2 singer admitted that the only way to help the poor is through the proven methodology of capitalism where financial reward is based on effort, sacrifice and good old plain a–kicking hard work.
Staring this fact square in the eye, the cult of denial continues to claim and whine that they are still victims and need some mysterious, mythical, income equality. God forbid any leader would educate them to the inevitable fact that income equality can only occur with effort and sacrifice equality.
These self-proclaimed victims keep up this bizarre chant even though their elected representatives run the government. Who doesn’t know that every state and city run by liberal Democrats isn’t a hellhole of waste, fraud, deceit, corruption, runaway unaccountable spending and in ruins?
Have you been to Detroit lately?
No wonder the movie “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” is such a big hit.
As the Democrats continue to get away with their crimes, the squawking poor just keep on getting poorer, and as is always the case, they have no one to blame but themselves. Stupid is as stupid does. Brainwashing only works if you give up your brain and your soul to the brainwashers.
Another mind-boggling conundrum is the fact that America’s so-called poor live a life far better than do real poor people around the world and have luxuries they can only dream of.
With their cell phones, automobiles, microwave ovens, air-conditioning, new clothes, manicures and pedicures, bling-bling, clean water, more food than they can eat, pretty much redistributed everything handed to them, they still whine how America should be more like those other countries.
Then, amazingly, we keep hearing all the time how Social Security is quickly running out of money, yet we never hear a mention that welfare or food stamp programs are running out of money. It is truly fascinating that Social Security was earned by its recipients, but those receiving welfare and food stamps didn’t earn jack squat.
And who amongst us isn’t shattered by the criminal failures of the Department of Veterans Affairs in their duties to properly take care of those hero warriors who sacrificed so dearly for the rest of us. We cut benefits for our hero veterans, but we are increasing budgets for illegal invaders from across our southern border.
You have got to be kidding me.
The ultimate conundrum is how we ever let it get this goofy and bad, and how so many good people fail to remain engaged in order to fix the clear and present problems that plague this last best place.
In my nightly meetings, I raise as much hell as I can, prodding good people to quit worrying about hurting people’s feelings, but rather to more aggressively attack the scourge of denial, complacency and turning the other cheek to those who relentlessly violate their oath to the U.S. Constitution and continue to play nasty games with their political charades.
We can do this, if we better communicate with our family, friends, co-workers, our people at church and school, everywhere we gather, to face the bad and ugly and work diligently to eliminate them for the benefit of increased good.
The issues are not so much the conundrum as is our failure to face the music and dance. Or as I say, shut up and jam! Listen to my SHUTUP&JAM! CD. It’s the soundtrack to take back America. Dance like you mean it.
