(TIMES OF TRENTON) — TRENTON – A 20-year-old Trenton man will spend nearly 30 years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to choking a woman before sexually assaulting her unconscious body, not knowing the entire incident was caught on tape.
Dante Picott was sentenced last week after he pleaded guilty in January to a 10-count indictment that included charges of kidnapping, robbery and multiple aggravated sexual assault offenses, admitting that at 1:30 a.m. on May 2, 2012, he choked and punched a woman into unconsciousness before dragging her behind a row of bushes to conceal her from passersby.
Picott then sexually assaulted the victim, who is not being identified by authorities, stole the keys to her home and attempted to take any money she possessed, according to a Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office release.
