Terrorists are running amok in Iraq, executing and destroying. Syria is disintegrating under civil war. Iran is, well, Iran. Threats continue against Israel almost daily. And that's just in the Middle East. Across Europe and America, and other places, social problems, economic troubles and security threats are surging.
So what on Earth is happening?
The answers to some of the questions that arise will be appearing this week at the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America gathering at Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania, where WND Founder and CEO Joseph Farah will be speaking Wednesday.
Also appearing on the platform will be "The Harbinger" author Jonathan Cahn as well as WND columnist Michael Brown, whose works include "Hyper-Grace," "Can You Be Gay and Christian?" and "A Queer Thing Happened to America."
TRENDING: America's most dangerous demographic
Explains Farah, "The Bible makes some pretty extraordinary predictions about things to come in the Middle East in the time leading up to the return of Yeshua-Jesus. I've been watching some things taking place right now that sound remarkably like what we read in the books of Isaiah and Ezekiel and some of the other prophets."
He continued, "Some of these developments are huge regional news but failing to make headlines in the West."
In addition to his Internet pioneering work with WND, one of America's largest websites and a top destination for news worldwide, he writes a daily column and a weekly syndicated column for the Creators News Service. He is also the founder and chief executive officer of WND Books, a publishing venture that has produced a higher percentage of New York Times bestsellers than any other publisher in the world over the last decade.
He also is the founder of WND Films, a leading producer of Christian and current-events documentaries, including "The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment," the No. 1 faith movie of 2012 and 2013, and, more recently, "Blood Moons."
Joseph Farah made a name for himself with traditional daily newspapers prior to his founding of WorldNetDaily, now known as WND – running the Sacramento Union, directing the news operation of the Los Angeles Herald Examiner for six years and serving as editor in chief of a group of California dailies and weeklies.
The former nationally syndicated daily talk-show host has written for such publications as the Wall Street Journal, Jerusalem Post, National Review, TV Guide, Reason, Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, San Francisco Chronicle, Chicago Sun-Times and a host of other national, international and regional publications.
Farah's most recent book is called "The Tea Party Manifesto: A Vision for an American Rebirth." Among his 13 other books are "Taking America Back," which has been published in three editions and more than 15 printings, with total sales around 100,000. He also collaborated on Rush Limbaugh's 1994 No. 1 bestseller, "See, I Told You So." He has also collaborated with Hal Lindsey, Greg Laurie and other top Christian authors.
Brown holds a Ph.D. from New York University in Near Eastern languages and literatures. He is recognized as one of the leading Messianic Jewish scholars in the world today. He is the founder and president of FIRE School of Ministry, host of the nationally syndicated daily talk radio show "The Line of Fire."
He is a contributor to the Oxford Dictionary of the Jewish Religion and other scholarly publications.
Cahn is the author of the bestselling Christian book of 2012, "The Harbinger." He is also president of Hope of the World ministries and senior pastor and messianic rabbi of the Jerusalem Center/Beth Israel in Wayne, N.J.
Cahn's expertise regards the remarkable teachings on which "The Harbinger" is based.
The conference features fresh insights and transforming teachings throughout the week with more than 100 classes and workshops, organizers said.
