WASHINGTON – Jonathan Cahn’s “The Harbinger” blazed a trail as the No. 1 Christian book in America for more than two years.
Two movies were made about it, sequels are under way and it’s catching fire with some of the country’s top leaders.
They’re not just talking up the book – they’re holding it up in front of big audiences.
The most recent occurrence took place at a nationally televised gathering of American leaders in the U.S. Capitol. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, presidential candidate in 2008 and a potential leading contender for president in 2016, in perhaps the most powerful endorsement of a book ever given by a national leader on Capitol Hill, departed from his prepared text to point the national audience to the prophetic book.
“If you have not read this remarkable book, ‘The Harbinger,’ a bestseller, it’s one of the most soul–stirring, and stunning, spell-binding books I think I have ever, ever, read,” said the Fox News Channel host.
Present to hear Huckabee’s endorsement were senators, members of Congress and other leading presidential contenders, including Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.
But it was not the first time a prominent American leader or presidential candidate pointed the nation to “The Harbinger” and the No. 1 bestselling documentary it inspired, “The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment.” Michele Bachmann, while giving a speech on Capitol Hill, not only referred to “The Harbinger” but displayed a copy to her audience.
House Speaker John Boehner also has commented on the book.
Beyond this, a growing number of American leaders, senators, governors and members of Congress have been reading, endorsing, hailing or taking action based on “The Harbinger.” One presidential candidate hands out copies to his associates. Another made a journey to New York City to pray at the sites where several of the nine harbingers appeared.
Other prominent leaders have been urging the nation to read the book.
When asked by a studio audience concerning what is happening to America, television personality Glenn Beck answered by pointing to “The Harbinger,” saying, “This book has the answer.” At the last National Day of Prayer in Washington in May, event host Shirley Dobson departed from her prepared text to tell the national audience to read “The Harbinger.” Her husband, Dr. James Dobson, has also recently urged his listeners to get the book. The number of prominent American leaders who have either hailed or endorsed “The Harbinger” and “The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment” is vast and varied, from Pat Boone to Pat Robertson, from NFL star David Tyree to actor Chuck Norris.
Meanwhile, author Jonathan Cahn increasingly is being summoned to Washington to meet with leaders.
“In Scripture, when God sent a prophetic word to the nation, it often involved the leaders of the land,” commented Cahn. “The one bearing the word was often called to go to the nation’s capital and speak the word to kings, princes, and powers. This was either to call the leaders to God’s will, in the hope of revival and restoration or to give warning to the leaders and nation, in view of impending judgment. Whichever of the two is happening now, one thing is sure, the prophetic message of ‘The Harbinger’ is being sent to the leaders of this land.”
“The Harbinger” and “The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment” unearth the nine harbingers, or prophetic signs, of judgment that appeared in the last days of ancient Israel before its destruction.
“The eerie thing, the scary thing, and the amazing thing is that those same nine harbingers are now reappearing on American soil,” said Cahn. “Some have appeared in New York City. Some have appeared in Washington. Some have involved actually involved American leaders – even the highest leaders of the land – even the president of the United States.”
Some of the harbingers point to events still to come. Readers will be stunned at what already has transpired since the book was published.
