(CLEVELAND.COM) AKRON, Ohio — A charter school bus driver died on Tuesday while trying to save a 10-year-old student from a rolling school bus.

The 51-year-old bus driver died Tuesday at Akron City Hospital after in the incident that occurred during an emergency evacuation drill at Middlebury Academy, Akron Police Lt. Rick Edwards said.

The driver pulled the girl out of the path of the bus before being run over, police said. The girl was not injured.
