Democratic congressman Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., who joined the ultra-liberal Congressional Progressive Caucus in 2012, told a group of illegal immigrants at Panorama High School in Los Angeles not to worry – he's got their back on Capitol Hill.
"Unfortunately," he said, Breitbart reported, many members in Congress believe their jobs are to represent only U.S. citizens and voters, not illegal immigrants.
But not Gutierrez.
"I represent all of you," he said.

He made the remarks in reference to Obama's de facto amnesty programs, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and Deferred Action and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans.
"If you are here as a human being in the United States, you have rights, you deserve to live in dignity, but unfortunately, until we pass comprehensive immigration reform, right now there's about 12 million people, men, women, children, who are living in the shadows," Gutierrez said.
"But I want to thank our president and thank God for his actions of DACA and DAPA, because now at least 5 million people are, so in the near future will be able to come out of the shadows and be one with their families and be one with their country," Breitbart reported.
Rep. Tony Cardenas, D-Calif., was on hand at the event, too, and told the crowd not to fear Texas Judge Andrew Hanen, who recently issued an injunction against Obama's executive amnesty.
"Don't be afraid of him," Cardenas said, the news site reported. "He is not the last word. He made a decision and that decision is not final."
Cardenas also told the crowd to spread the word: "Don't be afraid. That judge was wrong and sooner than later, in a few months, we are going to have salvation."
