Mr. Farah,
I thank the Lord that you are speaking up.
The Bible speaks of our era – pointing to a time when there would come a great falling away from the true faith. While many around the world are martyred for their belief in Jesus, the American church is focused on big donations, big buildings and watering down the message so as not to offend anyone.
Personally, I need to be offended now and again. I want to be reminded of how and why our nation was founded, and of the price paid by those who purchased my liberty with their fortunes, their sacred honor and their blood.
Americans prefer the soft words of feel-good praise music and prosperity and how God accepts us as we are. Instead we need the hard word of repentance. It sickens me to see noted televangelists spend much of every program asking me to just plant a seed of X number of dollars into their ministry so I can then wait on the Lord for my miracle. Until more of our pastors repent of their own greed, then stand up and broadcast our need for a national Spirit-driven revival, things will only get worse.
