ISIS terrorists, already on a rampage through the Middle East, have now turned their attention to grave sites in Mosul – in particular, those burying the Christian dead.
Fox News reported several photographs of the terrorists, dressed in dark clothing and smashing headstones in key areas of the Iraqi city, were posted online with the title: "Leveling Graves and Erasing Pagan."
Steven Stalinsky, executive director of The Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI, put out a statement about the campaign: "The April 16 destruction of Christian graves in Mosul, Iraq, by the Islamic State (ISIS) is part of the organization's ongoing campaign against Christianity, in the Middle East and throughout the Muslim world."

The campaign comes on the heels of another by ISIS to obliterate artwork and religious artifacts deemed inappropriate for Muslim eyes.
The photos on the Shomoukh Al-Islam online forum show terrorists wielding sledgehammers to crush gravestones and then taking knives to carved crosses to desecrate the images.
"It is important to note that ISIS is documenting its destruction and desecration of Christian sites and its attacks on Christian communities and on other minorities' sites and communities, and is disseminating these images worldwide via social media," Stalinsky said, to Fox News. "By doing this, ISIS is not only showcasing what it is doing, but is also mocking the West by demonstrating that it is doing so freely, with no one trying to stop it."
He also said the acts of destruction stem from the Islamic "hadith," or prophetic teachings.
