An infertile Pennsylvania woman has been sentenced to 15 to 30 years in prison after she persuaded her new husband to repeatedly rape her then-14-year-old daughter so she could raise another baby.
Misty Machinshok, 33, of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, reportedly "coached" her daughter and husband Gary Machinshok, 29, on the ideal sexual positions to conceive a child.
Misty even held her daughter's hand "the first few times," according to Inquisitr.com.
The woman had planned to tell others that the teen slept with an unknown boy at a party and got pregnant by him.
Misty met her husband through a website called OnlineBootyCall.com.
"In addition to raping his wife’s 15-year-old daughter, Gary Machinshok also admitted to sexually assaulting the younger of his wife’s two daughters, who was 11-years-old at the time," Inquisitr.com reported.
Gary pleaded no contest to raping the 14-year-old girl "every few days" throughout 2013 and will be sentenced this month. Because he struck a deal with prosecutors to testify against his wife, he will not be charged in the rape of the 11-year-old child.
In January, Misty pleaded guilty to rape, aggravated assault, conspiracy, child endangerment and other counts.
Defense attorney Mary Deady acknowledged that Misty made "a lot of bad decisions,"' but she said Misty pleaded guilty so her daughter wouldn't have to testify.
According to the Huffington Post, Prosecutor Nancy Violi said the crime was "the most heinous" she had seen in 14 years.
Both teenagers are currently in foster care. Authorities got involved when one of the teen's friends told a teacher, who alerted the police.
"Misty’s father, Bill Englert, stuck up for his daughter, minimizing the traumatic crimes committed against his own granddaughters, telling reporters that prosecutors 'over-emphasized' the idea that Misty organized the rape of her daughter by Gary Machinshok in order to impregnate her," Inquisitr.com reported. "Englert said that condoms were used during the rapes to prevent pregnancy."
