Jason Rezaian, the Washington Post's journalist who has been jailed in Iran, has now been charged with espionage and three other serious crimes.
His attorney, Leila Ahsan, told the Washington Post his other charges include "collaborating with hostile governments" and "propaganda against the establishment."
Rezaian was arrested nine months ago. His indictment states he's suspected of accruing information "about internal foreign policy" and giving it to "individuals with hostile intent," as well as with tapping into classified information, the Washington Post reported.

One of the individuals he allegedly wrote to who was regarded as "hostile" was President Obama, Ahsan said.
The Revolutionary Court hasn't officially disclosed the charges but Ahsan obtained limited access to the indictment following a meeting with Iranian officials. She also said Rezaian "has never had any direct or indirect access to classified information to share with anyone," the Washington Post reported.
