(THEDENVERCHANNEL) — DENVER - The mother of a Hamilton Middle School student says she fears for the safety of her son and other kids after a boy was caught on camera attacking her son on campus grounds. The Denver Public School District confirms no one was supervising the students at the time.
The video, taken by a student watching the fight, is tough to watch, starting with Celestina Roybal's 13-year-old being punched in the face, a loud cracking sound audible after the boy's head hits a brick wall.
"I still haven't been able to sleep. The cracking of his head is just mortifying to me," Roybal said. "And the fact (the other boy) got so many hits in without anybody stopping it is even more hurtful."
