(KIRO-TV) Taxpayers in Seattle may be paying more than expected to help low income drivers get a break on the new $60 car tab fees.
The city is giving low income residents $20 rebate cards, but it costs $17 per card to administer the program, and taxpayers will pay for it.
Voters approved Proposition 1 last fall to increase bus service in the city with $60 car tab fees for people who live in Seattle.
