It's an old debating premise – and if it isn't, it should be – that once you accept your opponent's premises, you forfeit your argument and will lose the debate.
That's exactly what conservatives have done in the modern world. Look at the media diatribes, day after day after day. Most conservative commentators and politicians have accepted – hook, line and sinker – the left's premises.
Before the onset of libtardation, conservatives had a clearer view of politics. Today, multitudes of conservatives disagree with the outcome, but they've already signed onto the agenda! Once you've accepted that the latest leftist program is a valid function of government, you've forfeited any hope of success! All you can argue at that point is a different level of funding for a problem that government has no legal authority to fix.
Once you forfeit the argument, all you can legitimately disagree about is the mode of travel and speed of arrival. Whether you walk and it takes a year, or you fly and arrive in a few hours, you are going to end up in the same place. Another failed government program.
Libtardation means there is no real dissent today. Conservatives' only disagreement with their leftist counterparts is over the means and speed of travel. America has become another failed leftist plantation. That is political reality.

The perverse result of this situation is that every time a leftist program fails – and they all do eventually – conservatives rush in to save it. "Oh! You should have done it this way. Here, let me show you …"
No, no, no!
The real question – the only question that matters – is never asked. Should government be involved at all?
- FDR's Social Security for the elderly? The question today is, will I get mine before it goes bankrupt? Perhaps a second question is, how many illegals can be added to the rolls to hasten the demographic collapse?
- LBJ's war on poverty? It's only ever enriched government bureaucrats hired to administer the program, slumlords who collect the rent, liquor stores and drug dealers who sell to the recipients and Democrats running for elected office who promise more of the same. The money to pay for it all came out of the pockets of productive taxpayers who could have spent it more wisely and benefited the larger economy. The war on poverty has devastated the inner-city family by creating a generation of fatherless gang members bent on destroying everything around them.
- Reproductive equality? Roe v. Wade has given us 70 million dead babies, not one of which will ever pay a cent in taxes or Social Security. Now those aborted babies are being replaced with illegal immigrants by our demographically desperate federal government. Yet even after the Supreme Court's disastrous error, the effect could have been mitigated if Congress had not rushed in to pay for abortions with federal tax dollars, which abortion providers donated overwhelmingly to Democrats.
Libtardation.
Nowhere in the Constitution is the federal government permitted to engage in the activities that today so divide and impoverish our nation. Unlike the rights we as citizens have, which are wide-ranging, the "rights" the federal government has are specified exactly and limited in the Constitution. That which is not specifically permitted is forbidden.
So why do conservatives spend so much time taking pot shots at the old dead red herrings the blue-state press drags across its pages and websites every day?
Stop it! Just stop it.
If a deep-pocket, leftist think tank or charity want to fix an American problem, let them do so with their own multi-billion dollar endowment. Don't implement it as an illegal federal program, then send bureaucrats to stick a gun in the face of middle-income taxpayers and demand we pay for your panacea!
Since year 3 of Obama, the GOP has held the necessary majority in the House of Representatives. They could then – and can today – eliminate the leftist-driven federal government agenda to micro-manage our lives into meaningless servitude. Why don't they?
In the 2014 election, voters gave the GOP a second majority, this time in the Senate. Why? Because GOP candidates promised to stop the federal government's cancerous growth!
The only productive response conservatives can offer their leftist debate opponents today is, "That sounds like a lovely program for the various states to experiment with. Unfortunately, the federal government is not explicitly permitted to engage in that activity, so we can't fund it. Let us know how it works out for you back home."
In the meantime, perhaps conservative efforts ought to be directed to big bashes, lavish dinners and public relations accolades for members of the House of Representatives who move to defund the many programs the left has grown to treasure?
One program a day. Zero funding. That's all we ask. And you can stay in office forever.
Volume Two of "Armageddon Story" goes to the editor next week. In the meantime, here are some of my thoughts about writing a novel.
