Hillary Clinton is rapidly looking to change her image, trying to morph into one of the top names among Republicans seeking the White House, according to top-rated radio host Rush Limbaugh.
"Hillary's working on a new and improved voice," Limbaugh explained Wednesday.
"Have you heard it? She's trying out the 'I'm perfectly calm' persona, in place of the 'Nurse Ratched' persona. In place of the 'I ain't no ways tired!' persona."
Nurse Ratched is a reference to the cold, dictatorial nurse portrayed by actress Louise Fletcher who ran an insane asylum in the 1975 movie "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest."
Her character was named the fifth worst movie villain by the American Film Institute.
"'Saturday Night Live' has correctly portrayed Hillary as a wild-eyed, ambitious nut willing to say anything to get elected," Limbaugh continued.
But which Republican does Limbaugh believe the former first lady and secretary of state is now trying to emulate?
"I think she's studying Ben Carson," Limbaugh opined.
"Calm, cool, composed, collected, in no way defensive or insecure. I think Hillary's studying Ben Carson, particularly his announcement earlier this week, and that's who she is trying to come off as attitudinally and in terms of confidence.
"And we'll see how this plays out when she's asked to explain why she destroyed evidence under subpoena. Again, if she can blame the Republicans for it, the media will eat it up and it doesn't matter what she did. If she can get away with blaming the Republicans, lie through her teeth, and if her husband can come to her defense and carry out that whole theme, then they'll be loved again.
"It doesn't matter what she did. It's how she gets away with it, and can they successfully once again blame their enemies for what they've done. That's the standard."
