'Saturday Night Live': Draw the Prophet Muhammad

In the wake of last Sunday’s terrorist attack at a “Draw Muhammad” free-speech event in Garland, Texas, NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” decided to spoof the controversy by holding its own Pictionary-style game show titled “Picture Perfect.”

During the skit, one contestant played by comic Bobby Moynihan was asked to draw “the Prophet Muhammad.”

“No, I don’t want to. I want to go home!” whimpered Moynihan.

Paralyzed with fear, Moynihan passed off the card to his teammate, actor Reginald VelJohnson of “Family Matters” (played by Kenan Thompson), who also quivers when he realizes he’s being asked to sketch the Islamic prophet.

“Oh, I dropped my pen!” VelJohnson declares, as he intentionally tosses away his writing instrument.

When time runs out, actress Reese Witherspoon correctly guesses out of thin air, “The Prophet Muhammad.”

The host of the show, played by Taran Killam, concluded, “The takeaway is … these two men drew the Prophet Muhammad!”

“No, we drew nothing!” declared Moynihan.

“Oh, sweet Lord, they’re coming for me!” cried VelJohnson.

“You bet they are, Reginald!” the host agreed.
